Webpack

    Install bootstrap as a Node.js module using npm.

    Import by adding this line to your app’s entry point (usually or app.js):

    1. import 'bootstrap/js/dist/util';
    2. import 'bootstrap/js/dist/alert';
    3. ...

    Bootstrap depends on jQuery and , which are specified in the peerDependencies property; this means that you will have to make sure to add both of them to your package.json using npm install --save jquery popper.js.

    To enjoy the full potential of Bootstrap and customize it to your needs, use the source files as a part of your project’s bundling process.

    For Bootstrap to compile, make sure you install and use the required loaders: sass-loader, with Autoprefixer. With minimal setup, your webpack config should include this rule or similar:

    1. ...
    2. {
    3. test: /\.(scss)$/,
    4. use: [{
    5. loader: 'css-loader', // translates CSS into CommonJS modules
    6. }, {
    7. loader: 'postcss-loader', // Run postcss actions
    8. options: {
    9. plugins: function () { // postcss plugins, can be exported to postcss.config.js
    10. return [
    11. require('autoprefixer')
    12. ];
    13. }
    14. }
    15. }, {
    16. }]
    17. ...

    Importing Compiled CSS

    Alternatively, you may use Bootstrap’s ready-to-use CSS by simply adding this line to your project’s entry point:

    1. ...
    2. module: {
    3. rules: [
    4. {
    5. test: /\.css$/,
    6. use: ['style-loader', 'css-loader']
    7. }
    8. ]
    9. }
